Here they are- sixteen members of my ORIGINAL Vietnam Rifle Platoon. They were kids - 19-21 years old.
I was the "old man" at 33.
We all are fortunate to still have 22 members still present -as of May 2009.
This is the grave site of our platoon Medal Of Honor recipient, Pfc Douglas E. DICKEY. Rest in Peace, my brave and courageous Warrior.
When this pix was taken, I was in the hospital, in a coma for two (2) weeks, two (2) months in ICU, and four (4) months bed ridden. I surely hope to make our 2009 reunion in Mason City Iowa.
