 Additional Information
Last Known Activity:

Cpl. Powell enlisted on 31 December 1946.

He was killed in battle in the area just south of Wonsan, near Kojo, at Sonchon-ni Hill 109. He served with B Company, 1st Battlion, 1st Marines.  Apparently, at least one squad from B Company was overrun late 27 October into early morning of 28 October, which was part of a general hand to hand fighting. 12 men were later found.

He was interred in Snow Ridge Cemetery, Ashburn, Georgia.
