Comments/Citation:

Cpl, USMC Reserve, 1st Marines, 7th Regt. 22 years of age. Died March 1 1951 in action in Korea at Hoengsong during heavy fighting. Next of kin - Mr. And Mrs. Nels Notsund, 911 Belmont Ave., Seattle, WA. Cpl. Notsund came to Seattle with his parents in 1945 from Chicago. He attended Edison Tech and the University of Washington. He enlisted in the Marines in 1946 and served four years. Called to active duty in October. His grandmother, Mrs. Brita Tveit, lives in Norway. The Corporal's brother Reider joined the Marines after learning of his brother's death.
