Reflections on SSgt Anderson's US Marine Corps Service

 Reflections On My Service

PLEASE DESCRIBE WHO OR WHAT INFLUENCED YOUR DECISION TO JOIN THE MARINE CORPS.
I was in the Army ROTC in highschool My instructors were my role modles, also three older brothers make militray careers all with 20 to 30 years of service. Services/Rank were as follows. Army/CSM, Air Force/LTC, Navy/CPO
I was the only male in my family line to go Marines. As you can see the other branches service members knew of my brothers services, So I the branch were no one knew them. I did do two years active Army in the early seventhys but I was most inflewance by the Marines the Espri di corps, they way they got things done, the respect and the duty, honor and and the rest. I dont think anyone would deny the importance of a Marine Corps and that uniform stands alone.
WHETHER YOU WERE IN THE SERVICE FOR SEVERAL YEARS OR AS A CAREER, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE DIRECTION OR PATH YOU TOOK. WHERE DID YOU GO TO BOOT CAMP AND WHAT UNITS, BASES, SHIPS OR SQUADRONS WERE YOU ASSIGNED TO? WHAT WAS YOUR REASON FOR LEAVING?
To finish and miliary career. like my brothers.
IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN ANY MILITARY OPERATIONS, INCLUDING COMBAT, HUMANITARIAN AND PEACEKEEPING OPERATIONS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THOSE WHICH MADE A LASTING IMPACT ON YOU AND, IF LIFE-CHANGING, IN WHAT WAY?
