Best Moment Graduation Date was 6 May 1957 and I will never forget the bus ride to Geiger. We stopped for a box lunch at noon and as I stood there overlooking the empty beach -- nothing in both directions as far as you could see -- my thought was, Wow beautiful beach, I'll bet someone does something with this some day. It was Myrtle Beach!! :-)
Worst Moment Form Date: 6 February 1957 and my worst moment was that first morning!

Other Memories Important to note that Company B; Platoon 43 was in the 1st Battalion.
The rifle range was the best time. Snapping in was a pain but the actual firing days were one of my best memories.
Those who have returned to PI will surely have noticed the the reviewing stand and Parade Deck are now named in honor of Major General Oscar F. Peatross. See photo posted here. He had been one of Carlson's Raiders at Guadalcanal and became even more famous for his actions in RVN! As a kid I had no idea the great honor it was to have him as our Leader!
