Best Friends I first started ut in Plt. 116 ? I think, then my mother past away eight days into boot camp, went home on a emergency leave March 11, 1964
Flew home by Commercial Air to Cincinnati, Ohio. Atten the hospital where my mother wa dying from Cancer, and attended her funeral on March 18, 1964. Return to San Diego MCRD on March 21, 1964 and was placed into my new Plt. 126. in which I graduated from. and on to ITR at Camp Pendelton, Graduated on June 4, 1964 went home on a 30-day leave reported to 2nd BN, 8 Marine Rgt, April 1964.

Other Memories Started with Plt. 116 on March 9th, went home on Emergency leave mother pass away, March 18, 1964, came back and rejoined the First Battalion Plt. 126 on March 30, 1964. and graduated with that platoon on June 9th 1964.
