Other Memories
1- Got called up to DI Hut, eventually I was PTed doing bens and thrusts for 30 mins. ( I left em a puddle of sweat right at the door). was told by recruites "they were surprised I didnt break stride".

2-We force march over to the rifle range barracks and we pitch tents. Apparently no one checked for weather forcast which called for rain on the overnight. Well, right where we pitched our tents ( in a gulley) early that morning, bout 03:30 there was a torrential down pour. Suddenly you hear shouting and yelling "get up get up" we're ordered over to some building that happened to be nearby and open. Once we were inside, after a couple minutes the DI's then realized that all the rifles were left back outside in the tents, in the rain, in the mud. Again there was shouting and yelling "get out get out and get your rifles". We did clean those rifles before going back to bed that morning! We did sleep in the building that morning as well.
