Our oldest kitty at 13 passed away today at the vet's office. We took him in because he could not poop, not really a big deal we thought. Left him overnight from Fri. and about 1000AM the Dr. called me and told me Teddy was in a coma. Damn what a surprise. Patty & I were out and couldn't get back in time to see him before he passed. Teddy was such a loveable big kitty. 13 years ago Patty found a small kitty outside and of course she brought her inside. She was pregnant with little ones. Soon enough two little babies were born. One did not survive at birth. The other was mothered so much by the Mom cat and Patty they became very close. Teddy grew big and about time to give him a name he was a large kitten. So the name "Teddy Bear". Look at his face ....he looked like a Bear. So gentle with every cat that came in but also demanded respect. Never rough or started fights and loved to eat. And eat he did. 27 pounds was his weight at death. All the girls and Dr. at the Vet office loved him. Anyone who came in the house he would welcome and except a pat on his head from them. But mostly he waited for the evening and early morning for me to rub his belly . First I would comb him real good, clean his coat with a rag then place him on the floor. He then rolled over to get his belly rubbed. Of course I did it as he wanted each time. Now each evening and morning I wait my turn to rub the big guys belly. Now I miss him so much and more so during these times. We love & miss you Teddy. You gave us so much love and you will always be our "Teddy Bear"......
