Danny was the love of my life. We were secretly married just before he left for Vietnam. I gave birth to our baby daughter May 31, 1968. Danny died two weeks later on Flag Day, 1968. He did know he had a daughter and I know he loved me when he died. It has been 39 years since he passed. I still have all of his letters and high school ring. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and of our daughter. Joe C. Speciale of Mountaintop, PA was his escort home. Danny, you are gone but the memories will always be with me.
