Lee was born in Vance and lived there most of
his life until he was sent to Milwaukee,WI to
be raised by his grandmother.It seems that
his parents divorced and neither parent took
custody of Lee.
While living with his grandmother Lee attended
and graduated from West Division High School
and had a girlfriend by the name of Vera.
Shortly after graduating from high school Lee
enlisted in the Marines 12 July 1967 at the
Milwaukee Recruiting Office.
When he arrived in Vietnam 17 December
1967 Lee was assigned to Golf Company,2nd
Battalion,9th Marine Regiment,3rd Marine
Division.During a combat operation Golf was
set up in a night defensive position when they
had incoming hostile mortar fire on their peri-
meter.Lee died as a result of fragmentation
wounds to the body.
Lee was single and served his country for 9
months and 7 days and had been in Vietnam
for 4 months and 2 days.KIA#25,928.
Lee was 20 years,7 months and 5 days old.
Survived by his grandmother,Rose McCarter of
2463 W Cherry St,Milwaukee,WI.

His father and mother,John H Adams and Anna
M Adams,whereabouts unknown.

Lee was buried 6 May 1968.
