I remember a smile that would light up the world. Everyone who met Rusty immediately liked him. He was so much fun to be with-it was hard for our family to go on without him. I missed my first day of high school to go to his funeral. My grandmother was devastated, and I remember thinking that no one could ever make her smile again. Her daughter's youngest boy was gone forever-what a loss! Rusty was a special guy, and I will never forget him, or the sacrifice that he made.
