"For professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) class desk and Aviation Logistics Management Advisory Team (ALMAT), 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, from 10 November 1991 to 1 November 1992. Without the benefit of previous ALSS experience, Gunnery Sergeant Jones provided sustained support to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and Commander, Naval Air Pacific ALSS managers through daily liaison, research and commitment to excellence. As the Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing ALMAT, he ensured the successful completion of 22 Material Condition Inspections and 3 Aviation Maintenance Evaluations. His extraordinary efforts included complex schedule development, comprehensive checklist review, innovative coordination, and generation of lengthy ALMAT evaluation reports. Gunnery Sergeant Jones' professionalism and dedication to duty throughout, reflected great credit upon himself, the Marine, and the United States Naval Service".
