Aug 6 – 21; 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines and 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st, 3rd and 4th Battalions Republic of Vietnam Marine Corps and ARVN 35th and 39th Ranger Battalions search and destroy operation to locate and destroy the 2nd NVA Division (AKA 620th NVA Division) in the Que Son Valley, Quảng Nam and Quảng Tín Provinces.
