Marine Pvt Minnie Spotted Wolf.

Upon receiving her Honorable Discharge from the WMCR in 1947, Pvt Spotted Wolf entered Northern Montana College and graduated with a B.A. in Education, In 1952 she married Robert England (taking his last name) and would have four children. Minnie taught elementary school for 29 years, in both reservation and small rural schools. She was also known for keeping a horse for riding near where she worked. Minnie died in Montana in 1988. She hasa tile of honor inthe Montana Verteran's Memorial. She was also a devoted member of the Browning American Legion Post# 127.

Minnie was the first Native American woman to serve in the USMC.
Minnie grew up on her parent's small ranch outside Heart Butte, MT. Her chores as a child included cutting fence posts, operating farm equipment and a two-ton truck. and breaking horses. She was an avid outdoor's woman.
USMC PR teams published several pictures and stories about her before and during Boot Camp. Also, "Calling All Girls" magazine published as four-page comic book -style recounting of Minnie's adventures called "One Little Indian". Minnie was a full-blooded Blackfoot tribe Native American.
