Enjoying watching wildlife and the world go by. Being a Designated Driver trying to save a few lives. Enjoying retirement and wondering when do I get a day off???
Other Comments:
From the experiences in Viet Nam, I have discovered the joy and beauty of being alive and healthy. The Corps has given me appreciation and patience for which I am grateful.
Best Moment Promoted to Sgt along with 22 others. No change in duties, just increase in pay.
Worst Moment Getting my orders back to Viet Nam. We were guaranteed 2 years stateside duty and I had 2 years and 11 days!
Chain of Command SSgt Helms - Admin Chief Capt Striker - Adjutant LtCol Westerman - XO Col Dyer - CO
Other Memories I became the Discharge Clerk as I had the fastest typing speed in the Barracks. That was necessary to type forms (ha ha). As a Discharge Clerk all I saw were smiling faces of Marines ready for the outside world!
