RETIRED FROM THE PHONE COMPANY AT THE END OF 2001. SPENT THE NEXT 15 YEARS TRAVELING, PLAYING GOLF, HITTING THE CASINOS AND ENJOYING RETIREMENT. STARTING IN 2016 WITH THE BIRTH OF MY 1st GRANDDAUGHTER (ELIZABETH), FOLLOWED BY JULIETTE 4 MONTHS LATER AND FINALLY KATHRYN IN 2019. I STARTED A NEW "CAREER" AS PAPA . I SPEND MY TIME BABYSITTING AND ENJOYING THE 3 OF THEM. IN A COUPLE OF YEARS, KATHRYN WILL MOVE ON TO THE 1st GRADE AND FULL TIME SCHOOL AND I WILL PROBABLY GO BACK TO GOLF. HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ALL THIS TIME HAS PASSED.
Chain of Command Southern Sector Defense Command (SSDC) was under the command of 1st Tank Bn which also had command of A Co 1st Anti-Tank Bn - 1st AT's had tactical command for our OP along with 3 others (Thumb,Panther & Hawk) - I served with the Comm Spt Co 7th Comm Bn which supplied 14 men (Security Team #2) as part of the garrison on 3 Fingers
