RETIRED FROM THE PHONE COMPANY AT THE END OF 2001. SPENT THE NEXT 15 YEARS TRAVELING, PLAYING GOLF, HITTING THE CASINOS AND ENJOYING RETIREMENT. STARTING IN 2016 WITH THE BIRTH OF MY 1st GRANDDAUGHTER (ELIZABETH), FOLLOWED BY JULIETTE 4 MONTHS LATER AND FINALLY KATHRYN IN 2019. I STARTED A NEW "CAREER" AS PAPA . I SPEND MY TIME BABYSITTING AND ENJOYING THE 3 OF THEM. IN A COUPLE OF YEARS, KATHRYN WILL MOVE ON TO THE 1st GRADE AND FULL TIME SCHOOL AND I WILL PROBABLY GO BACK TO GOLF. HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ALL THIS TIME HAS PASSED.

Other Memories Served with Comm Support Co - 7th Comm was part of the 1st Marine Div then - spent a lot of nites running up to man the berm for possible grd attacks, rockets, etc. - the food was ok, we had showers and a club - it wasn't the "world" but we were a hell of a lot better off than the "grunts" - also served with A Co,1st Anti-Tanks on COP Three Fingers & Thumb January to March 1969 - These were Outposts that were part of the SSDC surrounding DaNang - This is where I earned my Combat Action Ribbon - The picture of me & James Stanley was taken in February just outside the COC bunker
