Best Friends Met my best friend LCpl John Roney who introduced me to my future wife (Mary). John worked in supply. I joined this squadron after HMH-463 was disbanded.
Best Moment Reenlisted to go to MAD, NATTC, Memphis, TN for an Aviation School. Requested Avionics but was told, I'd have to take and pass the required test at Memphis.I was thinking about later in my career being able to draw Proficiency Pay and possibly non-crew flight pay.
Other Memories Went aboard the USS Princeton as the mail clerk. First time I ever got to go aboard a Helicopter Carrier. My job was to be the mail clerk and administrative clerk for the Squadron Admin/Operations office. First morning aboard ship, I woke up and got sea sick right after morning chow. Very embarassing because we hadn't left port yet. The ship had a delay in departure.
