MAINTAINING A SMALL ANGLICO FORUM AT www.1anglico.org ANGLICO Marines and Sailors are welcome, and those who fought by our sides as well. Three Korean Marines are on board, as well as other US Marines and Corpsmen who were detached to the same units. Historians are welcome, basically anyone who is interested in ANGLICO history, especially those who can help to document it. Our official history is often not documented, or full of errors as our teams are detached to US and allied forces, and those who record the history are often far removed from the battlefield. It's up to us to set the record straight.

Expeditionary Units: I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group
The unit's mission is to provide Marine Air Ground Task Force commanders with close air support, fire support and act as forward observers. Teams, made up of primarily forward observers and field radio operators, go out with ground elements and set up forward observation posts. There they gather information and when the enemy moves into a certain area, ANGLICO members call in artillery, air support or naval gunfire.

Best Moment NOTE: EVERYONE knows me as "Vance", my middle name, thus Richard V. Hall:
Worst Moment Either late Feb when 10th Co. suffered 13 KIA and lots of WIA one day, or 04JUL68 when Ray Shawn was killed.
Chain of Command I rarely saw any U.S. Marine above E-4; no idea about the ever-changing rear guard; on a day-to-day basis, we were free agents, but ANGLICO served both the interests of the Korean Marines who kept us alive and the U.S. Marine pilots who brought food, ammo, and firepower to the Koreans
Other Memories Most likeable guys - Jim Chally, Dave Doran, Doug "Mac" McLoughlin, Dan "Shorty" Dierker, Mike Sweeney, Stan "Dusty" Allen.
Supply Sgt wouldn't issue new jungle boots after the second pair rotted away. Glad I didn't waste him. Risked my neck to get back to Brigade to ask those MF's why they wouldn't send boots to the field. Glad to get back to the field away from all that.
