Served as a member Louisiana State Legislature for 2 years, a New Orleans City District and Councilman-at-Large for a total of 12 years.
He taught Accounting, worked in Marine Personel,the Veterans Administration,and as Vice President of a local Pest Control company. After retiring from public life he revamped the Louisiana Selective Service System under Governor David Treen.

He was later selected to the WARREN EATON CHARTER FOUNDATION'S HALL OF FAME for outstanding contribution to the community and significant professioal accomplishments.

Member Marine Corps League.

Attended WARREN EASTON HIGH SCHOOL, class of 1934, where he lettered in three sports and attained ALL AMERICAN HONORS in football.

Upon graduation he attended TULANE University on a full athletic scholarship where he quarterbacked the football team.

He was a member of BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, attaining the rank of EAGLE SCOUT.

5th Denfense Battalion FMF Atlantic

Other Memories
Joining up once again with the 5" Seacoast Artillery Group which was left at PI SC when the Battalion embarked for ICELAND.

Spending about three months between March and July getting the 5th Defense Battalion ready for duty in the South Pacific.
