Major of Armor and Infantry, Army of the United States(Ret). Recalled to Active Duty from retirement for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm/Provide Comfort. Discharged back to Retired List of Army of the United States. Served 34 years active duty and reserve duty.
Infantry Company formed shortly after the end of the Korean War. According to Colonel Joseph Agee USMCR (Ret) several Korean War Officers and NCOs pushed to form the Company and it was activated in 1954.
Initially designated as the 97th Special Infantry Company, and later renamed the 97th Rifle Company.

Best Moment Company qualified at Fleet Landing Training Unit, NAB, Little Creek, VA following landings from USS Rankin and USS Spiegel Grove.
Worst Moment Requested Active Duty during Vietnam War, and recommended by GySgt Coffman and Commanding Officer. Request denied by Fifth Naval District. Too many dependents. So, it was time to "Be all I could be" in the United States Army. Marine Corps training sure helped me in OCS.
