Best Moment Mobilization of Battalion for duty during Desert Storm. Of 400 called, 398 reported for duty. Set new Bn record for safe vehicle ops (500,000 mi), put 55 of 2nd LAAM Bn vehicles back on the road during their time in Kuwait.
Worst Moment When one of my Marines had to be sent to Balboa to resolve a life threatening condition.
Other Memories All Marines returned home safe and 2nd LAAM very pleased with condition of their motor pool facilities, equipment we left for them and the 55 operating vehicles returned to road worthy condition.
