The Japanese came in from that direction. NAS Kaneohe was a PBY (seaplane)base. Of 36 PBYs,3 were in the air on patrol and 30 were destroyed on the ground. (taken from atop H&MS-24 hanger,Chinaman's Hat barely visible in left bachground)
