This is the graduating class of Aerial Observers December 1966. Capt on left is Frank Pacello, OIC of the school. I recall some of tjhe names; L to R Pacello, #3 Bob Carney (KIA-OV-10 Vietnam, #4 Bob Carswell, #6 ? Brooks, #9 Billy Steed?, #11 Jim Knight, #12 me. Carswell, Knight and myself left in Feb to Vietnam and served as Platoon Leaders with 3d Bn 4th Marines and later as AO's flying out of Dong Ha,Khe Sanh and Phu Bai...
The tough part came later that day when at the O Club at New River we had our 'BLOOD WINGS' hammered onto our bare chests ... ALL MARINE
