Doc. & I spent about 4 months at CAP 2-4-1. All the pictures I have on this CAP came from Doc. He sent them home during his tour. When he died his wife sent me the ones sent. Doc. was KIA about 10 days after my TR to 4th. CAG to establish a MTT. (Mobil Training Team) Doc. you would be so proud of what you see today in our young Corpsmen & Marines. I look at all their pictures Doc. and I'm telling you, they are tremendous. So tall, brave, uniform sharp, motivation is there at all times. When I sit and look through this site Doc. I think of our tour together. Family pictures, Iraq, Afgan, Ball pic. you would not believe how beautiful these young men and women are. When you see them up there Doc. you will know how great they are. I wish I could tell each one how great they are..... Description: Doc.Robert Leon Carman I knew only a short while in sierra-3 CAP 2-4-1. Doc took all these pictures. He mailed them home to his wife. Doc lose his life 10 Aug. 1968 trying to med-vac a Marine. His wife sent me his pictures because he spoke a lot about me in his letters. I did get to meet Docs family and see his grave in El Paso. I just don't remember much about it. Mr.Miller Lite and General Jack Daniels also went to Texas with me. I drove back to San Diego and I don't remember it. GOD was with me also. I want to thank Sandy Wardlaw for finding the information on Doc. http://www.veteransmemorial.us/honoralp.php#C
