A day I will never forget. My father was a Korean War veteran, having served in both the Army and the Air Force. He passed away at the age of 85, 4 months after this photo was taken. I am eternally grateful that he was able to be present at my last reenlisment, my last promotion and my retirement from the Marine Corps. He signed me in at the age of 17 and was there at the end to see me finish. He was an awesome father and friend and I miss him dearly!! I just hope that I made him proud!!
