Day 1 of booth camp I was called in to see CDI GySgt Shockley,he said by your record jacket I see you were in Korea with the 1st Cav Div, YES CDI GySgt I Said ! Good he says SO WAS I ! and that you were in the 101 Airborine Div, YES CDI GySGT I WAS ! HE SAYS SO WAS HE ! and there stands a DI with Jump wings and a Army Good Conduct Medal on,(Takes one to know one) he let me know right there that I might see some things that are not in the UCMJ,and they had just 90 days to train to get them ready for Nam, YES CDI GySgt the PVT WOULD DO WHAT EVER HE COULD TO ASSISTH IN THE TRAINING !
