Their uniforms may not have been the sharpest in this picture, after what they've been through, but they're standing tall and proud. This squad from Company "I", 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines was chosen to represent their regiment in the All-Marine Combat Rifle Squad Competition to be held in Quantico, Virginia.
Shortly after this picture was taken, these men went on a three-mile run, followed by a night reconnaissance patrol.
