Amtrc Vic & Jollyroger in front of Marble Mountain

from  1968-1968 Vietnam War/Counteroffensive Phase IV Campaign (1968)/Operation Allen Brook  album
Located between Danang and Hoi An on the South China Sea, Marble Mountain was the sight of combat action throughout the war. There were helicopter units, amtrac & tank units stationed close-by even though VC snipers resided in caves in the mountain. Due to religious constraints U.S. troops could not attack the Sacred Mountain. The obvious damage to houses nearby was caused by a hurricane a few months before.
