I loved platoon drill. I was in the 4th. squad about 2-3 from the end of the plt.
Platoons are always sized by height. I'm 5'5" and we always are running if the column right or left is not done right.
Cpl. Baines would PT our butts off for not "getting up there".....
Cpl. Baines is not in any of the pictures. None. zero. I do not know why. I do know he did the best drill.
His cadence was like the Marine Corps Hymn.
And of course when I was on the field as a Drill Instructor, you guessed it, I did it also. Only during "show off time".
