What are you doing now:

Wow, it's been a long time since I last updated. Since my last posting I've become an empty-nester. My oldest son, the Marine, has come and gone a few times to visit home seeing his brother graduate high school then off to university. He's returned from Iraq and working on V-22 Ospreys in Miramar. I need to plan a summer trip out to see him and take a look around his new toy!  My youngest is nearing the end of his freshman year at the University of Missouri.  He's THINKING sports medicine...but that'll change numerous times before he locks in his major/minor.

I am still adjusting to the "empty nest"...actually it sucks! I miss my boys so very much, but realize they must fly on their own. I don't suppose I'll be around forever.  It's quiet around the house. We lost our precious Blue Heeler (Weezy) last November...THAT was so hard as we had made the decision to let her go.  She was sick and going to hurt.It was very hard holding her as she slipped away while I whispered how much she was loved and how grateful we were having her in our life. We still have Osar (yellow lab) and he's 11 yrs young and loving his new hair cut....bounces around like a puppy.  I'm still working despite our sucky economy.  Regardless when it's time to move on, it's time...thankfully I'm prepared and anxious, if that makes any sense. My sweetheart was unemployed for 15 months before landing a fantastic job with tons of opportunity for him.  He's traveling a bit more than I care for, but it's his life. Overall life is good and I am happy...that's all that matters anymore...kinda. ;)

Other Comments:
Alright I need help finding pictures, videos, etc of my graduating platoon. I would love to have names to put with the faces. Some I remember; other's were quiet and stayed to themselves. Boot camp was followed by Data Processing "A" School in San Diego where I enjoyed the solitude of Point Loma during off duty time. Permanent duty station was in Yuma, Az at MCAS from '77-'83. What an awesome place and experience. I made tons of friends and wish them well. I would love to hear from any WM that graduated from the group joining March of '77 having DI's Potter and Bennet and ? ... help me remember!

"Semper Fi" ...
