Last Known Activity
Killed in a training accident at Pauwela Point, Maui, Territory of Hawaii. Two US Navy Dauntless dive bombers collided on 06 Dec 1943, and a live bomb fell among Marines of the 22nd Marine Regiment who were conducting training exercises in the vicinity. Twenty (20) Marines, including fourteen (14) members of Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Marines, were killed and twenty-five (25) were injured.
