11 Feb 1945 - Embarked aboard LST #449 at Saipan, Mariana Islands.
12 Feb 1945 - Sailed aboard LST #449 from Saipan, Mariana Islands.
19 Feb 1945 - Disembarked from LST #449 onto an LVT and landed with either the first or second assault wave on Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands.
19 Feb 1945 - 10 Mar 1945 - Landing on Green Beach Braga participated in the action against the enemy on Iwo Jima, Volcanoe Islands.
11 Mar 1945 - Killed in action on Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands.
26 Mar 1945 - Interred plot 8, Row 8, Grave 2226, 5th Marine Cemetery, Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands.

During his time on Iwo, he participated in crossing the narrow isthmus of Iwo and cutting Suribachi off from the rest of Iwo Jima.  Moving north on the 28 of February, beginning on March 1 he participated in the taking of Hill 362a and Nishi Ridge.  After returning the foot of Suribachi, on March 8 he participated in the assault on the Bandlands where he lost his life on March 11, 1945.
