Last Known Activity
Hospitalman Cunniffe was a Naval medic serving with Company H, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action on May 27, 1952. By Jack Dedrick: He was the 1st Platoon Corpsman. He was with the Platoon on patrol and he was struck in the chest with slugs from a burp gun and was fatally wounded.
