On June 02, 1968, while participating in Operation Mameluke Thrust in Quang Nam Province, Republic of Vietnam as a member of Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 26th Marine Regiment (Mike 3/26), Lance Corporal Michael P. Minehan, USMC and the following six (6) Marines were killed by Misadventure - Friendly Fire - Ground Casualty during a friendly fire Air Strike: L/Cpl Harry J.
