I've been onboard about an hour so far and I have to say this is a very squared-away site. There's as much information here as a 782 gear locker and as well organized as a wall locker inspection. All the work that went into the development and maintenance of TWS deserves a 96 hourpass - Carry On! Semper Fi. - Ric Rincon GYSGT, USMC (Ret)
Major, I want to personally thank you for this site and anyone else that assisted you in setting this up. The layout is awesome and the parameters with the drop down menus which include every unit, mission, location and time that has possibly existed throughout the Marine Corps,is remarkable. I have tried to locate past brothers and sisters over the past 20 years, with no avail. However, with this site it has been great in finding them. Thank you again for all the hard work. - Valerie D. Cubel, Cpl
You have a great site here its the perfect balance between being the military heritage/networking site that it was intended to be. Keep up the good work and Semper Fi. - Armstrong, Michael, Sgt
Ain't no other place than TWS for me I'll leave the site when someone pries the mouse from my cold, dead fingers :) - Porter, Gary, LCpl
TWS is a fantastic site, and for me, three aspects place it in a league of its own: Members are not spammed to death - We do not have to sift through a ton of unrelated, often base advertising to find that ounce of substance we are interested in. Membership is exclusive - You are here because you belong here. You've paid your dues as a member of the armed forces, and as such, there exists a great deal of common ground.
TWS administration and members at large take care of this site. Respect is another aspect which is sadly lacking in other social networking sites. Thanks to the TWS staff, we have a first rate site where we can connect, reconnect, network, or simply swap sea stories. Great job TWS! - Wangler, Richard (Dick), SSgt
Thank you for keeping this site free of phonies and advertising, that alone is worth a lot and finding a lost buddy and it's worth a lot more. I think I've found 15 so far through TWS. Hats off to you and the TWS staff - still the best Marine site on the net. Thanks to TWS I was able to find a few Buddies whom I have not heard from nor conversed with for 50 some odd years. "SEMPER FI" SIR. And Well Done.- Barca, Joseph, PFC

Thanx for the welcome and info. As you will probably see I am not computer literate so, it will take a while for all my stats to get entered but, I'm sure I will get there. Have already been contacted by an old comrade in arms and am well pleased as you can imagine. I appreciate the work that has gone into this site and look forward to using it often and over a long period of time. Semper Fi, Jim R - Rowlette, James (Jim), MSgt

He replied and said he had been looking for me for a long period as well. Thanks for your hard work. This is the best site of its kind. - Ron Mattioli - NTWS
I just wanted to pass along a thank you on the great service 'we' get here. I had a problem with the size of my photo and Spud had tried to help. It didn't work so I contacted Joe Madagan on a Sun (E-Mail) and by the end of the day he had resized two of my photo's. Great service. Thank You again, Mark M Hynes, Sgt 66-70 - Hynes, Mark, Sgt

I work with a couple other former Marines that would be very interested. I will make sure that I direct them this way. This is a fantastic web-site. I have already made contact with several Marines that I served with, that I would, more than likely, have never been ableto reach if not for this site. Thanks again Sir, and I will pass the word.... - Hackman, Mike, Cpl
I have already been contacted by a fellow Marine that I was in boot camp with in 1962, platoon #336 at MCRD. Over the years I have lost track of them, only know the location of 4. - Shannon, Kenneth W., Sgt
Thanks for this great web-site. On this site today, I found the son ofa Marine who I witnessed pay the ultimate sacrafice in Viet Nam. I hopeto hear from him so I can tell him about the great man and Marine his dad was. - Flink, Ed, Cpl
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of Together We Served. Together We Served has been a valuable asset to me in finding lostfriends and helping to reconnect others. Your Organization has, and will always be a beacon of light to those who are still defending freedom or have moved on and are looking to share their stories and pictures online with friends and others. I look forward to many more years! Thanks again and Semper Fidelis! - Ottens, James, GySgt
I want to thank you very much for sending me this invitation to the, 'together we served' website. Two days ago, I have connected with fellowMarines within my unit. I am definitely going to become a full member with this. Again, I thank you. Semper Fi, Sgt B. Shows - Shows, Brian (Hollywood), Sgt

Semper Fi, Sgt Kurt Driscoll - Driscoll, Kurt, Sgt
You guys are so darn efficient! ! ! Thanks a lot. I was pretty busy on the site last night. Found a whole lot of buddies, whom I did not know that they had a profile. This is the best siteI have ever seen. I have found so many old shipmates, and I stillhave some of your business cards that I carry with me, and pass out to Marines when I meet them. Thank you for the welcome aboard. This is an outstanding site...already found four lost brothers. Semper Fi, Sgt. Doug Young - Young, Doug, Sgt
It worked! My uncle joined up! Thank you for starting this site! I wish I could have been one of the first 50,000 but I was Over the Road as a truck driver. I have already found several friends/platoonmates in the last week than I have in 13 years! I wish I could join as aLife Member but the VA and being unemployed is not helping. So, hopefully in the near future you can count on me to add my contribution for the cause! - McKinney, Jason (Tow Truck), LCpl
Thanks for welcome Major and thanks for starting a site like this! I was medically retired from the Corps. I was just transferred from the TDRL to the PDRL this year and trying to fit in civilian life. This takes the edge off a lot being able to interact with other Marines.Very appreciative!' Semper Fi, Sgt Doug Groff USMC(ret) - Groff, Doug (Groff), Sgt
Please pass this to ALL TWS administrators. I cannot thank you enough for the incredible gift that you all made possible.
About 20 years ago, I was a student in the Shawnee Mission School District. Our teachers had us write to the troops around Christmastime to alleviate their loneliness and thank them for all their service. I received a letter back from a Sgt. Paul 'Gizmo' Guimond. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune around 87-88. He and I continued to write backand forth until he transferred at which time I lost track of him. Well, the other day I got it into my head to look for Guimond... and I found him, on your USMC site. He wrote back and I recognize the style of writing, as well as the simplicity and warmth in his words.
I cannot contain my joy at having found this old friend, who is but a state or two away from me now.... and I invited himover for dinner some night should he find himself in my neck of the woods. Truly, this is a momentous occasion.... and it is your hard work that made it possible for me to find this brave Marine. THANK YOU ALL SOMUCH!!!!!! - Navy.TWS member - CM3 Connie Chapman
I never heard of the site and was either the proverbial blind pig or got lucky as today I found the invite. Just for fun and as a test, I filled in a search for an old friend I was a SSGT with and later was commissioned with - Wes Wieckowski. He replied! I will take a spin around the site this weekend and fill out the bio-I-love-me stuff. Cheers, Dave, PISC 1967 (by God!) - Penn, David, LtCol
Major Prater, It is an honor to be a part of the Marine.TogetherWeServed site. I was only on for 2 minutes and an old boot camp buddy found me. I have not seen him since our graduation in 1979. I immediately got out my Graduation Book and found him. I sent himan email immediately. We hope to connect soon. I also have a Son who graduated from Officer Candidate School in August of 2007. He is a Senior at the University of Kansas and is preparing to graduate in December and immediately accept his commission and report to TBS at Quantico, VA. I am very proud to say the least. He was only 2 yrs old when I served in Operation Desert Storm. Thanks for being a brother. Semper Fidelis, Sgt. Al Sanchez, USMCR - Sanchez, Al, Sgt

...TWS membership has been quite fulfilling for me. Being stuck in the house every day, until my wife gets home from work, ain't no picnic. I enjoy posting cartoon and jokes so other members might get a laugh, or a smile to brighten their day. Semper Fi, Marine, JJ' - Haight, JJ (JJ or snake), Cpl
I am a member of MarineOCS.com and will post a new thread announcing this web site. I am sure there are many Veterans and ECP Marines there that would like to check this out. I've reconnected with so many Marines; some I served with andothers that I recruited into the Corps. We've even had some 'reunions' already to catch up on the years that have passed. No one, anywhere, hascome up with a plan of attack for reconnecting with long-lost Marine brothers that is as effective as what you've given us. Thank you so verymuch. - Perron, John, Sgt

Sir, this website is amazing!! I have been able to contact Marines from my bootcamp platoon. I wish I had a simple way to explain how grateful I am other than saying thank you. I think Chesty approves (wherever he is) and would like to be a member. - Ross, Stephen, SSgt
Thank you, very much for this website. I think it's a wonderful idea for Marines yong and old. This will make more possibilities for all Marines to get to know one another and let s get advice from other Marines who have been around other areas of the world. I myself am a very young Marine and have just entered the FMF. I like the idea of being able to view other Marines' profiles, taking a look at where they were, where they are going, what they've done, and ask any questions foradvice, should I ever need it. This website is a great thing, and I am glad my buddy from Boot Camp has invited me to do this. - Satterly, Heather (Satterly), LCpl

Thank you for the kind words. I just found this site last night and didnot hesitate to join. I loved being a Marine and love the fact that I am a Marine veteran. My career was cut short due to a spinal cord condition and it's been the most difficult 4 years of my life. Just knowing that there are other Marines ot there to talk to is very comforting. Again, thank you and Semper Fi. Victor Goodman, Sgt. SMC - Sgt Victor Goodman
Mainly though it has helped the times we struggle with in life since we have done the things we have done and do the things we do or have seen the things we seen. Here I can actally hope those by helping myself at the same time. Sending a message to a brother that served nextto me in combat or been through the same injuries I have. Gripe and complain about how Dracell needs to make a longer lasting battery for orhearing aids. Jst wanted to thank you Sir for what yo have done and being Semper Fidelis to those that need it. - LCpl James MacKenzie
