Sgt Jackman tripped a B/T SW of Chu Lai on June the 8th and died in Clark AFB in PI the next day. He left a wife, Patsy Jackman.

His DD1300 lists him as having entered the USMC in August 1965, a year before being KIA as an E-5 and as having over 6 years of service. The record does not show a Good Conduct Medal or prior service. His DD1300 does say "extened active duty" so I assume he was probably a reservist activated in 1965.
