Best Moment The 1st. Lt., I think his name was Jensen, allowed me to lead the trainees up the mountain, I jogged all the way every day that I led trainees....it killed the troops that had just came from sea-level.
2nd Best Moment The Plt Commander holding a special formation to watch me shave my miserably thin goatee off. When we got back to Horno, I switched to Marine Regs uniforms. I know that the pic on the left is in want of a hair cut, I was gettin' short and with 3rd tanks then.
Worst Moment free climbing by myself...
2nd Worst Moment Loosing my dog tags with the *Liberty* dime that had been cut out, showing only the statue, on a hard run before the Marines that were to be trained came. I think we did this kinda stuff for 3 weeks... It sucked... @ 9,000 feet... GASP GASP. Refer to the above *Best Moment*
Other Memories We, 1st Recon were the training cadre for 2 infantry Battalions. I've forgotten which ones they were... all from CAMPEN
