Other Comments:
My Dad was a great American, Father and Marine and he was proud of his service even though he would not discuss much of it. He finished his WWII Pacific Campaign with an assignment on guard duty in Peking China. At the end of the war, he was accepted into the Marine Corps Aviation Training Program with an assignment to Murray State College in Georgia. During a program physical, he was diagnosed with Tuberculosis and was medically separated. He ended up spending 7 years in VA hospitals in Huntington WV and Brecksville OH.
He was a hero and an inspiration to me and was greatly missed by his wife, family, and friends upon his passing in 1990. He donated his body to science and the Medical Arts Program at West Virginia University was the beneficiary of his generosity.
