Profile Completion - Why it is significant!

The website has been designed to allow Members to write as much as they wish within their Profile but the facility is there to describe a complete Marine service history in unlimited words and photographs. What is especially powerful is that if a Profile is fully completed with all Medals, Colleges, Basic Training, Assigned Units and Combat History entered, you can search on any one of 28 different search parameters: Boot Camp Platoon Number; Unit Assigned; Battle Name etc to find all other Members on the website who match the same search criteria. To help Members to complete their Profiles with minimum difficulty, a comprehensive, easy to follow Help Guide is available by clicking on the "?" icon at the top right hand corner of your Profile Page.

Helpful Information on Selecting your Unit or Battle

Powerful, User Friendly Unit Selector
One of the most important parameters for buddy searches is Assigned Units. TWS has spent many hundreds of man hours compiling one of the most comprehensive Units listings available. A powerful Unit selector has been created to allow Members to simply enter the number or short name of their Unit and a short list is instantly displayed for selection. If your Unit is not present, the Selector allows you to create one quickly and easily. For those who may have not yet posted their Units in their Assignments/Billets/Formal Schools section, simply click on the "Add" button on the Assignments, Billets and Formal Schools Title Bar and follow the Quicksearch instructions.

Powerful, User Friendly Combat Operation Selector:
Similarly, to assist in locating buddies with whom you fought with, a thoroughly researched library of all combat operations since WW2 has been assembled and can be selected easily using the Combat Operation selector. Simply input the year of the Operation you participated in and a short list is then presented containing all the Operations that took place during that year.
