Tips on Posting and Viewing Profiles.
Profile Editing Tip: Some Members have written to ask how to correct a mistake that they have made when posting an entry to their RH Profile Page, such as a mistake in posting a Medal or Unit. The answer is easy. You simply double click on the entry containing the error to open up the Description page. On the colored title bar you will see two buttons: Edit and Delete. To correct an entry you simply click on the "Edit" button and the page will open to a special "Edit" page to which you can make changes. If you click on the "Delete" button the entry will be removed. You have the option to "Add" a new entry by clicking on the "My Profile" tab to go back to your Main Profile Page and then on the "Add" button on the title bar of the required section.
Posting Photographs: The Profile page has been organized so that you may post a photograph to support specific personal events. Therefore if you wish to post your Boot Camp platoon photograph, click on your Training School entry to open the Description page and then go to the bottom of the page to the "Add Photo" box. By clicking on the "Add" button you are prompted for the location where your photo (Jpeg file) is stored. You may add other photographs to the same entry by repeating the exercise or go to a different Profile entry - for example a Family News entry - where you once again click on the entry and locate the "Add Photo" box. A summary of all your posted photographs, posted in all sections, may be displayed by clicking on the "Photos" box at the bottom of your left hand Profile page. Useful information on how to create and post photographs is located under the Home Page tab
Viewing Profiles: In viewing other Member's Profiles, each RH page entry contained in Ribbon Bar, Colleges, Basic Training, Assignments, Combat History and Family News sections is a "link". ie you can double click on any entry which is underlined - or on an actual medal ribbon - to open up the Member's Description Page. This page will describe that event supported by the names of Marines and other Memories associated with the event.
Also There: On double clicking on a RH Page event entry, therefore opening either your own or another Members Description Page, you will find located at the bottom of the page a box labelled "Also There". By clicking on this box you will be presented with a list of names of all Members who were "also there". "Also There" means having attended the same College or Boot Camp, served in the same Unit or fought in the same Battle, at the same time. This presents a fast and easy method of identifying potential buddies from the past or other Marines with common interests.
